Suresh Madan is a healthcare entrepreneur. As president and CEO of MyHealth Centre, he runs a chain of multi-specialty healthcare clinics in 12 different cities. He has expanded locations and services through six different acquisitions in last two years. Previously he financed a number of entrepreneurial ventures in different industries across North America as Portfolio Manager for Excalibur Capital Management. Before that, he managed money for multi-billion dollars Reichmann family for nearly ten years. His earlier work experience includes management consulting with SB Billimoria (now Deloitte) and financial consulting in the Middle East. Suresh has over 30 years of international experience in wide ranging businesses and geographies as manager, investor and entrepreneur.
Suresh is a TiE charter member since 2005. He served on the TiE Toronto board in 2007-09 and served as its president in 2009-12. During his time, TiE Toronto became 4th largest chapter in North America offering a number of unique programs. Suresh started TiEQuest business venture competition that gave $150,000 of prizes and $1,000,000 of investment to the winning ventures. Over 200 entrepreneurs participated in the competition annually. TiEQuest has over 25 success stories with many subsequent exits to large global companies. Later Suresh started TiE Institute with theme of ‘entrepreneurs educating entrepreneurs’. The program has arranged over 100 different sessions and have ‘educated’ over 300 aspiring entrepreneurs in different aspects. TiE Institute was recognized by the government along with financial support of $285,000 over four years. TiE Toronto established itself as a key participant in entrepreneurial ecosystem in Toronto. Currently, Suresh serves on TiE global board of trustees and is actively involved in various global initiatives.
Suresh is Chairman and Director of IIM Americas Inc, the pan-IIM organization representing 2,000+ North America based alumni of the Indian Institutes of Management. IIM Ahmedabad is where Suresh completed his MBA with a gold medal in 1983. He also holds Chartered Financial Analyst designation, Canadian Investment Manager Designation and graduation in Industrial Engineering. He has had a brilliant academic record winning four gold medals.
Suresh lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife. He has two daughters who are currently studying in leading universities in Canada and the US.
