Heather has twenty-five years of experience in healthcare, building and growing companies from start-up. She began her career as the tenth employee of IMPATH, the first national, independent, cancer diagnostics and information company. Her positions included District Sales Manager, Director of Marketing and Director of Operations in New York before moving to California to build the west coast operation as West Coast Regional Director. After going public and reaching a $1B market cap, she was named VP of Operations with responsibility over facilities in New York, Los Angeles and Arizona.
Heather was recruited to ChromaVision/Clarient as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer to lead the conversion from a device manufacturer to a cancer diagnostics company. She was responsible for building the cancer diagnostics division from start-up to revenues of $40 million in less than four years before being purchased by GE Healthcare for $650 million.
Her most recent position was President and CEO of CSI Laboratories, in Alpharetta, GA, where Heather led the transformation from a regional hematopathology laboratory to a national full service cancer diagnostics company. CSI was recognized as a Best Place to Work in Atlanta by the Atlanta Journal Constitution and for World Class Customer Service by Smart Business.
She currently provides executive consultation and advisory services to diagnostics companies, healthcare organizations, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and investment firms. She serves on the Board of Advisors for Emergence, a Georgia Medical Accelerator and Alora Healthcare Services, a home health software company, and as a TiE Atlanta Charter Member/Mentor, a Georgia Research Alliance Industry Fellow and Member of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Strategic Implementation Innovative Subcommittee.
Heather earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Duke University.
