Director of IoT and Connectivity Market Development at Intel Corporation, Gary Martz is part of the team defining and driving Intel’s connectivity strategy for IoT. He helped lead the formation of the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF) in 2014 (at the time called Open Interconnect Consortium – OIC) and currently chairs OCF’s Membership Work Group. During his 20 plus year technology career at Intel, Gary has spent more than 10 years working on wireless related technologies including over 5 years on communication frameworks. He was a leading force behind Intel’s push for Wi-Fi peer-to-peer technology which resulted in the development of the Wi-Fi Alliance’s Wi-Fi Direct™ specification, Intel’s Wireless Display Technology(WiDi), and WFA’s Miracast™. Gary served on the Wi-Fi Alliance board of directors for 5 years and in his current role Gary is helping build the market for both 5G and IoT communications products, standards, and services as part of Intel Corporation’s Wireless Market Development team.
