Know Any Startup Founders? Encourage Them To Present at TiEconFL 2016 — Tampa Bay’s annual conference celebrating entrepreneurship in Florida.

The August 31st deadline for the ‘Present Your Startup’ segment of this year’s TiEconFL is fast approaching. Startups looking to raise capital and exposure should reach out to us this week for the opportunity to present at the TiEcon Florida conference. (Remember to calendar the time and place! Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton at USF Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL.)

Present Your Startup will feature 10 finalist startups. Each will take the stage to present their company to TiE members. This platform allows founders to make their brands visible to TiE’s extensive global network.

The top three startups as determined by TiEcon Florida’s panel of judges will further enjoy additional benefits: an opportunity to pitch for funding at a subsequent TiE Tampa Angel Forum, a mention in a special TiEconFL 2016 post-event press release, and an opportunity to have their elevator pitch shared with TiE Angels Alliance – a collective of 3,000+ Charter Members/investors in 60+ TiE chapters in 17 countries.

While we at TiE Tampa Bay constantly strive to address the various needs of startup companies, we are always short of mentors and advisors. If you are an accomplished and entrepreneurial individual with domain expertise you can share with a startup founder, then consider asking to become a Charter Member of TiE Tampa Bay.

Many of the startups requesting to present at TiEcon Florida would benefit immensely from advice, guidance, and introductions to sources of revenue or capital or strategic alliances. For that, we need several more of Florida’s accomplished business men and women as Charter Members.

If you are invested in the future of the State of Florida and are willing to share your expertise with entrepreneurs, it may be worth stepping forward and asking to join TiE Tampa Bay as a Charter Member. Florida startup founders routinely contact me seeking an introduction to domain experts in various fields for some coaching and advice. Helping them out as a Charter Member will entail as little as an hour of phone-time perhaps once a quarter, while giving you a front-row seat to a startup’s exciting journey, a chance to make a lasting impact in a founding team’s future, and a way to pay it forward towards our region’s economic development.

Besides the joys of selflessly paying it forward, a Charter Membership in TiE Tampa Bay brings its own incidental benefits, such as becoming part of a global network of business leaders through TiE.org, free access to the largest entrepreneurship conference, TiEcon.org, held each May in Silicon Valley, investment opportunities as a TiE Angel and, last but not the least, friendships with like-minded leaders from around the world at exclusive Charter Member only annual retreats.

Make sure you are registered at TiEconFL.com to take advantage of early bird registration dates.
